The Hon. Gary Gray AO MP, Member for Brand,Special Minister of State, Minister for the Public Service and Integrity's letter 4 May 2011 in reply to a DFRDB superannuate's question on military superannuation indexation, reflects an unwavering position from the standard Government's standard template "spin" and its avoidance of answering the questions asked. And this follows the MP's recent encounter with Pete Criss on Perth Radio 6PR (23 April 2012) with Howard Sattler where Gary Gray when asked what is the Government's position is said:  

“The Government will continue to index pensions at CPI as we always said we will and we will treat our serving forces and retired military people with the respect they deserve and ensure the benefits and pensions they receive is what they signed up for.”

 Clearly, Gary Gray's letter is unsatisfactory with its misrepresentation and failure to reveal all the relevant facts

The Government recently commissioned what it calls a "Fact Sheet" in response to ADSO letters asking for fair indexation of military superannuation pensions. Their MPs and Senators now routinely enclose this "fact" sheet when replying to constituent requests for fair indexation.

The Government "fact" sheet is inaccurate, avoids the key indexation issues, and is economical with the real facts. It is a triumph of spin over substance.

But don't take ADSO's word for it. Make up your own mind...
